I'm Trying My Hardest To Hold On.

As you may have noticed, lately I haven't been posting.

At all.

I keep on giving excuse after excuse, but... As it turns out, I'm really just... Bored with Wizard101.

I'm trying my hardest to get back into it, though. To be honest, I really don't want to let go, even though it's quite uninteresting at the moment.

And I promise, I promise to everyone, eventually I WILL begin spending more time blogging and W101-ing. Really.

I've thought about it so much--should I just leave? Should I just leave this blog, should I leave Wizard101, or... Even both?

But no. This blog is where the most amazing time of my seemingly bland life began. This is how I sparked a friendship with a girl who's my best friend today, getting her into Wizard101. This is how I met other bloggers, who led me to separate communities throughout different sites and messaging systems throughout the internet where I began to make even more friends (example: Skype Wizards). Even though those communities seem to be tumbling down in my eyes and the eyes of other people, and even though Wizard101 is boring me bit by bit, I'm still trying to find my way back into this community.

I have to say, chuckling to myself, almost... I have to blame most of this on school, irl drama, and... Y'guessed it, Anime. I've been hooked on a good show or two that distracted me. But for the millionth time, I am going to try my hardest to get back into this thing, no matter what.

When I look back, this one website, this one community, and this one game led me to true happiness. One action, creating my own blog, set off a chain of events that, if I hadn't done, probably would have had me far less confident and far less social than I am today.

And again. I will try my best to come back, no matter what.

Eventually, I will be stronger than ever, I promise. Eventually, I'll begin blogging every week, or even more than that. Eventually, I'll log into Wizard101 each and every day, just like the old days.

I promise.

I know the damage has probably already set in, but if you could please just wait one more week. I know I usually make promises and break them involving time, but I can get my act together in one week. I just need to warm up to everything again, get back into everything.

This whole thing, Wizard101, and its entire community all made me the happiest girl on the planet one time. And I want to experience it again.

As a matter of fact, I haven't truly experienced that Wizard101-style happiness since the recently passed summer.

All I want is to feel it once more, come back into this community that I seem to have almost left, and try my hardest not to slip away again.

I know it may seem like I'm forcing myself to do this, really, but... If I left, I'd lose all of the possibilities I probably would have had. Meeting new friends, uncovering new stories of the Spiral, gaining newfound inspiration for drawings and writing. And then there's my past, all the memories of what this blog and game have done for me. I want to stay because the past and the present are very, very important to me.

But the present I often take for granted, in the real world and here. And I don't want to anymore. I want to live both lives to the fullest.

And you wanna know what I thought of as the one solution to this?

Coming back into this community.

After all, it is where everything once started.

And for the billionth time, once more, with all my heart, I promise.

Just wait one more week, okay?

(Egh... I'm not good at these lenghty post things, am I?)

I'm Back!

All of my projects are FINALLY complete. My school life has slowed down a lot, at long, long last. And I've gotten a good few worries offa my brain.

I've been dealing with irl drama, though... It kept me from posting as well, even after my projects were done. I had a lot on my mind, y'know?

Anyway, now I'm back! I've missed W101 a lot. I also got 10,000 glorious new crowns to splurge on Zafaria n' stuff.

AND I FINALLY BEAT ZAMUNDA.

After overkilling Shaka Zebu in ONE HIT, using a critical'd Centaur (which I must say, I'm quite proud of--soloing's never been my strong point while using Alia.), I made it to Stone Town.

(Messing around with the free premiun features of Picnik. Lulz.)

But, of course, I was too busy with my projects to even log into W101 as often as I needed! This resulted in me unfortunately running out of things to say.

But, thank KINGSISLE, they came out with the controversial Pack-A-Palooza.

*sigh* Dear Forest Lords.

It's been a very popular topic among bloggers, hm? Some hate it, some think of it as a fun way to waste time, and, er, crowns.

Hey, I'm not being a hypocrite if you're referring to my past insanity over hoards. Now that I'm serious about Zafaria, I don't wanna waste my valuable, precious crowns on that!

I've seen some things people say about the packs and hoards, and agreed with some. It's got its consequences.

Have any of you ever had Pocky? Ever? Y'know, Japanese stick things with chocolate or strawberry on them?

They're super addicting. Just the other night, going through my "irl drama," I decided that maybe just one or two sticks of Pocky could cheer me up. Psh, I ended up finishing the entire darned box. I thought to myself, "Alright, maybe just one more couldn't hurt." Every time I munched into each one.

It's just like the packs and hoards, I tell ya! When you try once, you just have to keep on trying until you can't anymore. And then, in a worst case scenario, you get nothing of what you were wishing for when you run out of crowns, and go NUTS.

Just a while ago, when a recent hoard came out (I can't remember which, to be honest.), one of my friends was going INSANE over trying to get his hands on just one of the things!

But, of course, I have my own opinions. Some say you shouldn't buy hoards at all, some hoard enthusiasts say you should dive right in.

...I'm going with the sane people here. Maybe it's best to steer clear.

The addictive power of the hoards is amazingly... Powerful! Sure, people with self-control could buy themselves only one, perhaps two or three packs. But, you know, that's probably your best bet of a minimum.

But... BUT. But then you've gotta think about this--the whole PURPOSE of hoards is so that at least SOMEONE can waste their crowns on endless packs! If nobody really did that, nobody at all, why, they'd just take up space in the Crowns shop, sitting there forever.

So just remember. My opinion and my advice is to steer clear of more than a few packs. But a good 1 out of 2 people will probably splurge about 20, 40 bucks worth of crowns on the hoards.

If this world we lived in was entirely sensible, things would get pretty boring, now wouldn't they?

And so, my long-awaited post of return ends here. (Or was this a rant?) It's getting pretty late, after all, and it's a school night.

So, until next week.

Irl Projects and Internet Promises--They don't go together.

*sigh*

In short--I wrote the fanfiction, and got some helpful revisions from my good ol' friend Quinn... Yet, I haven't found the time to get it up here.

Mainly because of homework and projects flying about like CRAZY.

I have projects in three classes, and they're all due around the same time. One of them is my Science Fair project, so I've been  FLIPPING OUT over that.

In fact, I'm still pretty busy with them.

I actually recently reached what I believe is the last boss of Zamunda--I want to wait until I get more crowns to get that done, though. So when I'm finished, I can move on to the next area right away!

But as of now?

Eh. I'm bored.

I've been ALL OVER the place with those darned projects, ehe.

At the moment, I really don't have the time to do W101-related things...

But my projects will ALL be over by February. Seriously.

And I'll be back better than ever before!

What I'm saying is--until all these projects are over with, I may have to take a short break from the Spiral.

Just a really short one, really...

But I'll be drawing like CRAZY as usual. Or testing out Sony Vegas with some video editing.

It makes me feel really guilty, but I have to. It is SCHOOL, after all.

I promise. I PROMISE. I WILL BE BACK BY FEBRUARY.

Grub Guardian: The Latest Craze!

Recently on Twitter, KIFreegames announced their newest game--Grub Guardian.

The entire community has gone NUTS over this thing! I mean, I can understand it, though--Wizard101+Bloons Tower Defense=WIN.

I love how you can use the wizards from your account, and use THEIR pets, and even level them closer to their next stage of growth! It's the most genius idea EVER!

It just.... It's just another element that really puts you into the game, I guess.

It's so addictive, though! I was on this for a good hour or two, playing like crazy. I found a couple of stages rather tricky--but of course, it's no fun if there's no challenge!

I'm sure that this game is going to have the entire community going CRAZY for a good while.

If you haven't experienced the epicness yet, and have no idea what I'm talking about, just click this little link...

http://www.kifreegames.com/onlinegames/grubguardian

You will be hooked for a while. I guarantee.

In other W101-related news--recently, I..

...

Okay, I sort of lazed around doing other things during my two-week-long Winter Break. I'll admit it. I only logged on about... 5 times, 4 times? During this period. Heh.

But I'll log on now and think of something!

...

Oh yeah, I recently leveled up to level 65!

I'm slowly inching along, yay~

Ooh, but, you know--well, you know that story I have in the "Upcoming Projects!" tab? The one about Llewella LotusPetal?

Egh, that was an absolute fail. Lol. I dunno why that's still even up there.

So I was thinking, maybe I could try and write another fanfiction..? I haven't written any W101 fanfiction in about a year or so...

I'm still thinking of ideas, though.

But, I want to accomplish one more fairly nice-sized project before the break ends (tomorrow's my last day off!), so I'm going to try and get it up by tomorrow.

And--The Most Powerful Spells Of All--again, that thing is... Old. And absolutely cancelled. The entire idea has faded from my mind.

I'm sorry, really sorry to all my fans. But I was thinking, also, maybe I could start writing... Just, various fanfiction, and put it all up on one tab...?

*Sigh* I have a lot of ideas that cross my mind and sort of fade away... I'll try to recall them and see what I can do by tomorrow.

But for now, heh, I guess that's it.

So, expect a post tomorrow!

...

Also, one more thing--most times, I don't really think of myself as a very good writer. So, when I do share the fanfiction... Just acknowledge that. Heh.

Around the corner is the New Year...

Well, this is it. The end of 2011.

I must say... It's been a wonderful year.

I have so many memories within this one year alone--and the past 2 years, as well!

And it's all thanks to this wonderful little world known as the Spiral.

Anywho--I have a few Wizard101/Blog-related resolutions for the New Year.

So, I guess I'll share 'em with you!

-Not go AFK as often
-Get to level 70... Eventually
-Try and blog a little more
-Be more active on Twitter
-Get into something new--possibly PVP? (I'm a terrible PVP-er, lolz)
-On top of that, try to be a little more social with other bloggers in the spiral...
- Make some more epic videos!

I'm sure you all have some W101 resolutions, too... Hopefully... I'm not alone, right?

Heh.

Well, I kind of felt like wrapping up all that happened this year into about a couple of sentences, late last night when I couldn't get to sleep.

In 2011, though I was hurt a few times, and I fought some "wars," it was all worth it making so many new friends. That's right--those friends being the Skype wizards.
Sure, from time to time we don't see eye-to-eye. But they're all just the most amazing friends I could ever have, and I want to thank them so much for this wonderful year.
I have lost a lot of those friends, though, when they quit. But I'll make sure to always remember them all.

The year really has gone by fast... I can't believe it's been an entire YEAR already. It seems like just yesterday I was still decorating my Massive Fantasy Palace, running through its many secret halls and passageways in boredom.

As a good friend once quoted in his final goodbye,
"The lonely night comes to an end, and I realize just how much time has passed."

Back to the resolutions though, and enough with the sappy memories most of you REALLY don't wanna hear right now... Heh.

I've already tried to start getting a little more active on Twitter. I believe I'm slowly reaching 100 tweets, actually.

If you all didn't know I had a Twitter--heh--again, I'm @CheezehLotus.

...And it's time to leave. I'm about to go and celebrate the New Year with my stepmom's family.

Happy New year to everyone that reads this blog! ^^ You're the ones who've kept on inspiring me to blog this past year.

Now, let's see how many of those resolutions I can actually keep...

I WILL NOW MAKE UP FOR BREAKING MY PROMISE.

Okay, okay, look. These past few days, I've been very busy.

With IRL stuff and computer stuff.

I've been getting my ultimate creativity on, actually.

So, to make up for my absence and breaking my promise to have a big post--here.

FIRSTLY.

THIS.

Yes, yes, it's short. Go on, complain. T_T But I worked on it that ENTIRE DAY.

And the second thing I've been doing is DRAWING LIKE HECK.

As usual. :3

Okay, okay, I drew this one on Christmas. (and forgot to sign my signature, I just realized.... Grah)

 It's a girl.

With a cookie.

...I dunno, okay? xD I was eating a cookie when I started it.

And the background... Egh, don't even get me started on the background.

*is the worst background artist. Ever.*

BUT. I am super, super, SUPERDUPER proud of this.

This.. Is possibly the best thing I've done with my tablet. I'm so proud of it. :D

The feet are a little small, but... As I progress, hey, every one of my drawings has at least one flaw, y'know.

Because I love this picture so much, I even uploaded a VIDEO of the progress of coloring it.

Now, this picture took about... 3-4 hours in total. And half of the time was spent on the lineart. The 2-hour process of coloring and shading it... Recording that took up 4 GB worth of space on my computer.

Imagine how much bigger that would be if I had recorded the whole thing... *shudder*

Anywho--the video.

I may not be a very good artist yet--but I'm still learning, anyway.

And... That's what I have to make up for the time I've spent away.

2 videos, 2 drawings. That's what I've been doing.

I was also sick... But I got over it yesterday, at last.

And then Christmas was busy, of course.

I have to type this in a hurry because I'm going to be busy today, too--for Christmas I got a guitar, but one of the strings broke...
And then my mom accidentally got me the same videogame my dad got me. Heh.

So we're going to go to the mall when she comes home--to exchange the game and get the string.

Sorry for the short post--again, I hope that the videos and drawings make up for it!

IT'S THE FINAL COUNTDOWN.

At long last, it's Christmas Eve. December 24th.

YOU OUGHT TO BE PUT IN A MENTAL HOSPITAL IF YOU AREN'T TOTALLY EXCITED RIGHT NOW.

There are a NUMBER of things I want to do in celebration of Christmas involving W101--a music video, drawings, etc.

So you know what? I'm going to work on them all right now.

And tomorrow, in celebration of the wonderful holiday,

I promise, I will make a HUGE post of epicness.

For all of you waiting for me to make a post actually worth something. ^^;

So until then, I've gotta get to work.

Merry Christmas Eve!

Yet ANOTHER house!

Remember last post when I was thinking of gettin' myself that super neat large Marleybone house and decorating it all holiday-cheerful?

Well, I did it!

I stayed up all night that night decorating the thing. It's still a little bare, but I'll buy more stuff. Eventually.

Maybe.

Too lazy to crop. As usual!

OOH! And guess what I found while looking in the Crowns shop?

Remember last post? Hairless hat?

They changed it back! ^^

   NOW. This outfit is perfect.

Now... To wait for the crowns I will receive on Christmas.

*evil smile*

Ah, to think. This is my third Wizard101 Christmas.

Time flies by fast, huh?

Tomorrow's actually my last day of school before the break starts. I'm so excited to FINALLY be free for two whole weeks.

But, some of you lucky ducks are already out of school. Lucky.

...

Oh, I just remembered!

On the THIRTEENTH(?!) day of Wizard Kingsisle gave to me...
 Thirteen living snowballs!
Twelve discount mounts!
Eleven Boon Tree seeds!
Ten Silent Nightcaps!
 Nine secret discounts!
Eight candy cane mounts!
Seven snowman transforms!
Six Housing items!
Five Arctic Pigs!
Four discount packs!
Three glowing lights!
Two epic poems!
And a Chrismoose mount for kid's charity!

 ...Wow, computer time's up already.

Egh, sorry for such a short post. I'm ashamed of myself.

I WILL POST... TOMORROW!

OR THE DAY AFTER!!!

OR SOMETHING.

~The LotusPetal

Monday, December 12, 2011

Oops, I'm 4 days late. ^^;

The party started without me?

NOOOOO!

...Ah, well, then this is for all of you out there who also missed some of the party. Just to remind you.

*ahem*

On the first day of Wizard Kingsisle gave to me...
A Chrismoose mount for kid's charity!
On the second day of Wizard Kingsisle gave to me...
Two epic poems!
And a Chrismoose mount for kid's charity!
On the third day of Wizard Kingsisle gave to me...
Three glowing lights!
Two epic poems!
And a Chrismoose mount for kid's charity!
On the fourth day of Wizard Kingsisle gave to me...
Four discount packs!
Three glowing lights!
Two epic poems!
And a Chrismoose mount for kid's charity!

On the fifth day of Wizard Kingsisle gave to me...
Five Arctic Pigs!
Four discount packs!
Three glowing lights!
Two epic poems!
And a Chrismoose mount for kid's charity!

Heh, yea.

...

Well, in W101, I've dyed my clothes nice and cheerful for the holidays!

A certain friend of mine wanted me to dye it to green and red, but it looked perfectly fine to me with just a red trim... Y'know, my life clothes, they already have green on them...

Writing on pictures is fun.

Now... Since I'm close to max gold...

Here's what I was thinking.

MAYBE. I could buy the big MB house and decorate it for the holidays!

You know, like my own little cheery Christmas-y house!

And speaking of buying stuff--Why don't we analyze the Crowns Shop for a second, hmm?

Ah, yes, the Crowns Shop. Remember when I made that post all about the Crowns Shop? Back in my good old immature level 48 days? Ah..

But anyway--I was looking through the Crowns Shop, and I was surprised to come across this.

ABSOLUTELY HONEST. I do NOT like that hat. xD

I mean, really, it gives this weird impression that the person wearing it has no hair.

But that robe... IT BRINGS BACK MEMORIES!!!

If any of you were ever around in the Wizzy world in 2008 or 2009, you'll remember the old Zeke clothing. Looks like Kingsisle keeps on bringing back those same nostalgic clothing patterns, huh?

..Hmm, I've always wondered... Why bother showing what the amulet/ring looks like when you won't even see it on your wizard? xD Really, it just improves stats, I honestly don't think it should look so fancy. :P

But that would be neat, though! Actually being able to see rings and amulets. And athames. Would look cool.

Back to the crowns shop--how's about those signs, huh?

I just bought one. Or two. :P

Some of the signs are really funny, actually, heh.

Check out the one in front of my Imperial Palace!

 HOORAY FOR THE RANDOM PEOPLE!!!

The second one, though, it's the framed one for wall-hangin'. I felt like it would probably look nice in that MB house I could buy...

Ooh, you know what? I'll blog about that next time. :D

Heh, yup, this post is officially over.

...

UNTIL NEXT TIME!!!

Five Arctic Pigs!
Four discount packs!
Three glowing lights!
Two epic poems!
And a Chrismoose mount for kid's charity!

I'M BACK!

So sorry about that. xD Took a short little break there not only because of Zafaria, but because of the real world.

I had a ton of tests the past week, progress reports came out, and I've been dealing with some irl drama. Ugh. But I'm back!

Because of my busy week, I haven't logged onto W101 in a long time. And as I type, I'm logging in.

Now, please don't kill me when I say this, but... I don't like Zafaria very much. T_T

NOW. Now, at least let me explain myself. Everyone has their right to an opinion.

Zafaria is very beautiful. The everlasting sunset, the array of colorful areas to explore... It's simply breathtaking. I remember feeling this way about Celestia when I first entered it last year around this time. Just amazing.

But... The quests, that's what I'm skeptical about.

Honestly... The questline is so tedious... Defeating the same things over and over again, it becomes very frustrating, to be honest. And the amount of room you have for battle circles in ZF--oh my gosh, don't even get me started. In most areas, you only have 2 battle circles' worth of fighting one enemy.

It's beautiful, really, but the quests and the amount of space... I really don't like it. I'm only level 63, and the quests are boring me so much that I probably won't be level 70 until next year. T_T

BUT HEY! On the bright side...

IT'S
THE
MOST

WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEARRRRR ♪

That's right! ^^ The holiday cheer is coming to the most addictive game we all know, Wizard101. I love the holidays--Christmas is my favorite holiday. Around this time of year, in December... Everyone and everything is so happy. This is when my best memories take place.

And let's not forget--PLANT-A-PALOOZA!

Seeds and gardening items in the crowns shop are 50% off! For all you gardeners out there, get 'em while they last!

...

Okay, now I've run out of things to blog about. T_T

OOH! That's right--remember how I was farming-selling-farming-selling-farming-storing? I FINALLY GOT THE HOUSE!!!

AND... Even AFTER I got the house, getting through ZF and trying the Tower of the Helephant (only to epicly fail xD) Check out my gold!

I'M ALMOST AT MAX GOLD!!!!

I feel so FABULOUSSSS~

And... Yea, I guess... That's what goes on! :P

Sorry for that break, again, I was busy...
